WriteOnCon started in 2010, with some great results from our first conference!
- Aspiring Authors Attend Conference–From Home, a feature in Publisher’s Weekly.
- Literary agent Kate Testerman signed a new client who attended WriteOnCon 2010!
- WriteOnCon got a mention in the SCBWI National Bulletin (p. 20) under “Find A Supportive Community.”
- Patricia J. O’Brien wrote a feature in the Southern California Winter 2011 Kite Tails (p. 32-33) about our first annual conference, which she attended.
- Operation Awesome did a series of interviews with the Founders of WriteOnCon after the first conference. Elana Johnson. Shannon Messenger. Lisa and Laura Roecker. Jamie Harrington. Jen Stayrook. Casey McCormick. And we all answer questions here.
- Bridgid Ghallager, freelancer writer for The Writer magazine, featured WriteOnCon in their July 2011 (p. 11) issue.
Since then, we implemented Monthly Live Events, and there have been several success stories from those as well.
