  6. Thanks Frank. Sometimes I get too close to the work and don’t see that my character isn’t reacting like they should. I’m going to tattoo your advice on the back of my hand so I always see it. :)

    I know I need to focus a lot on the dialogue.
    And, maybe cut out some friends…my MCs usually have too many!
    And reactions…I’m going to start keeping an eye out for those when I see them with children I know or even random people watching.

    Great information. What helps me is my friends have kids in this age range and I have two nieces in this age range. They are serving as my believability experts. While they don’t make good critique partners, they’re great at pointing out when my characters aren’t acting right.
