Today we’re thrilled to have the author group Stages on Pages with us to break down ten tips for collaborating with bloggers and writers online and in person. Stages on Pages is made up of YA and MG authors who are touring America in support of the performing arts.

A 25 page manuscript critique by author Sara Bennett Wealer, a 25 page manuscript critique by author Jessica Martinez, a 15 page manuscript critique by author Danielle Joseph, a query critique by author Gretchen McNeil or a 30 minute marketing brainstorming phone call by author Stasia Kehoe! It’s true–if you start it, you’re in charge! Doesn’t matter if you feel you’re all equal (or if you feel like you’re lagging behind the others) if you show that initiative, the honor is all yours! Thanks for the food for thought, I’ve had questions about the process.

  22. Christina Mercer on Tuesday 16, 2011

Wow – great prizes! And I really appreciated the video. I’ve seen a few authors do a joint book tour, but felt really super-shy about the prospect of putting myself out there and asking other authors to tour with me. I don’t feel quite so shy about the idea now.

I used to belong to a group blog and it was great. I still miss it immensely. We tragically lost one of our younger members to cancer last year,. She was the glue holding us together and things fell apart after that. I really hope someday to find some other authors to start something with again though. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and allowed me to meet my best friend and critique partner.
Anyway, thanks for offering such awesome advice and prizes! Your generosity is much appreciated.
